Create a fantastic author website and sell more books

If you're an author, you need a website. Period. Websites are the fastest, easiest, and cheapest marketing tool out there to promote your writing projects. Even if you have social media sites that you use to promote your books, you still need a website to serve as the central hub of information for marketing your books.

If you don't have a website, or if your website is really outdated, this class is for you. We'll discuss the reasons why every author needs a website, then I'll walk you through all of the steps necessary to create effective content for your website. We will discuss the basics of website design, the required elements for any author website, optional elements that will enhance your marketing efforts, and much more. Each lesson will guide you through different aspects of effective author websites, then assignments at the end of each lesson will guide you through creating great content for your own website. This course consists of lecture slides, hands-on demonstrations, and supplemental material you can read at any time.

This class does not cover how to actually set up your website, although I do show you some basics of how to use WordPress. Instead, this class helps you figure out all of the content that you want to include on your website and how to organize the information. I provide links to other videos that walk you through the process of actually setting up a new website.

When you finish this class, you will have all of the text you need to plug into your new website as well as an outline for the pages you want to include on your website.
